Deep Navy-Blue tentacles engulf your form, emerging from the centre of your back and writhing across your body, leaving a small gap around your eyes. For the duration of the spell all Ranged Attacks (Spell or otherwise) have disadvantage to hit you - furthermore if the Ranged weapon attack hits you may use your Reaction to attempt to catch the projectile - (8+Prof+Dex) vs the damage done. If damage is reduced to 0 you may make a ranged attack using your spell attack on a creature within 30ft of you.
In addition for the length of the spell you may breathe both air and water. As a bonus action may link minds and speak telepathically with a creature within 120ft of you, the creature does not have to speak your language to understand you and may respond to you. The link is severed if the creature moves out of the range or should you choose to release it.
AT HIGHER LEVELS. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the visage of the Kraken-Kin becomes more manifest - a creature must advert their gaze from you or make a Wisdom Saving Throw verses your spell save DC, or becoming frightened for 1 minute.
When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 6th level or higher, effects prior are maintained, the tentacles tighten around your form and emit a dim magical mist, you gain a +1 to AC as well as resistance to bludgeoning, piercing and slashing damage from weapons with less than a +3 in magical damage modifier.
When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 8th level or higher, effects prior effects are maintained, your form begins to shift as the Kinship between you and the depths emerges further - Your size is increased by one and you gain the ability to use your casting modifier in place of any Strength Check or Saving throw you make. Additionally you gain resistance to all damage bar physic and become immune to cold, lightening, thunder damage.
