You hold the black ring forward towards a target that you can see within range, and utter the command word. A targeted creature must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the target becomes Cursed for one minute, suffering 1d6 points of necrotic damage per round. In addition:

If the target has at least one point of Exhaustion, whenever you gain health, the Cursed target suffers that many points of necrotic damage.

If the target has at least two points of Exhaustion, the target has disadvantage on Attack Rolls against you.

If the target has at least three points of Exhaustion, it must make a Wisdom saving throw at the start of its turn, or waste its action that turn doing nothing.

If the target hast at least four points of Exhaustion, it has disadvantage on all saving throws.
