This spell causes creatures to enter a magical sleep, severed from dreams.
The spell is a whispered incantation in Quori, spoken with clear and intense focus. Kalashtar magic users learn this spell quickly and easily, and always cast it successfully. Non-Kalashtar, regardless of class, will have considerable difficulty with the spell. If the caster is not Kalashtar, the target will resist the spell if it succeeds on a Wisdom saving throw with advantage. Non-Kalashtar are likely better off using the more traditional <spell>sleep</spell> spell.
Target a number of creatures up to your Charisma or Wisdom modifier (whichever is higher) within 90 feet of you (you must know their location, but you do not need to be able to see them). Each creature affected by this spell falls unconscious until the spell ends, the sleeper takes damage, or someone uses an action to shake or slap the sleeper awake. On its first turn after awakening, each target is disoriented and has disadvantage on its first attack roll or Wisdom saving throw.
Undead, Quori/Dal Quor/Inspired, and creatures immune to being charmed aren't affected by this spell.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, add one target per level.
