The target must succeed a Dexterity saving throw, if they fail a crown of flame appears on the targets head. This spell has no immediate effect. On the effected targets turn the crown pulses and shines brightly, the target takes 4d8 fire damage. The spell also ends if the target is ever outside the spell’s range or if it has total cover from you. You may use your bonus action to change the target that the crown is on.
If the caster uses it on themself all fire damage dealt by the caster has an additional 2d8 dealt, this damage is effected by saving throws if they change the damage from the source spell. Additionally every time the caster deals fire damage through a spell the caster regains 2d4 hitpoints.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the initial damage increases by 2d8 on the target for each spell slot above 4th. However every 2 spell slots above 4th, the self targeted effects increase by 1d4 healing and 1d8 additional damage.
