The Faithful of Bellumatis calls upon the god of War to infuse up to 5 specially prepared horses with the fury and spirit of those Faithful who have fallen in the service of the god. Once cast, the prepared steeds are transformed in Heavy warhorses. wreathed in flame and eager to seek out and destroy any who stand against their riders. At the end of the spell's duration the magic fully consumes the mount, destroying it and leaving behind only ash.
While active the following rules apply to the mount.
They are immune to fear and charm effects
They gain a Fly speed of 50'
They gain an increase in intelligence, enabling them to act independently of their rider. This action will always be aggressive in nature and with an understanding of battlefield tactics and needs. They seek to flank enemies (if this rule is used) and to aid their rider against his foes.
The mounts will follow commands but any that are given which actively avoid conflict with a clear enemy who is within the horse's range will require an Animal Handling check (DC15) to get the horse to obey. If failed the Horse charges towards the enemy. If successful they obey but the strain of avoiding conflict reduces their remaining duration by 50%.
The Flames of the Steeds have no affect on the Horse, its rider and their allies but do effect their environment and enemies.
When the Horse makes any attack against an enemy, they deal 1d6 Fire damage to them, whether the attack itself succeed or not.
Any enemy who hits the Horse with a melee attack also takes 1d6 Fire damage from the attack.
The Horse gains bonus HP equal to 2x the Spell level that it is cast at + the caster's spell casting modifier
When the spell is cast at a Higher level the number of beast affected increases by 2 and the duration extends to 8 hours (LV 6) or 24 hours (Lv 7+)
