Air Magic: Boosting Air

Does the caster hover, or immediately start falling after they launch? And if they fall, do they float to the ground, or do they plummet? Also, there are no verbal, somatic, or material components for the spell? With a thought, they could launch themselves into the air with no warning of waving their arms around or reaching for a components pouch? And they could cast this spell even when silenced?

ok imma be honest this was for my personal homebrew campaign where it's kind of like black clover, bur they slowly float down and they do not hover, and no every spell has to be verbally said with this new system
