A bright white point of light flashes from your pointing finger to a point you choose within range leaving behind it a sparkling trail of ice crystals and then vanishes with a pop into the plane of elemental cold, a wave of cold.explodes out from this point sparkilng with ice crystals as it spreads Each creature in a 20-foot-radius sphere centered on that point must make a Dexterity saving throw. A target takes 8d6 Cold damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
The Cold spreads around corners. It freezes the surface of liquids in the area that aren't being worn or carried.causing the terrain in the area to become slippery for 1 round as any moisture in the affected area falls slowly to the ground as ice crystals
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 3rd.

Posted Apr 12, 2019This isn't a homebrew. All you've done is changed the damage that Fireball does. Rewriting the flavour text doesn't make it a new spell.
You didn't even bother to change who gets access to the spell. Pretty sure Light Domain Clerics and Fiend Warlocks aren't known for their use of cold damage. You even left in a piece of text from Fireball: "that aren't being worn or carried". I don't think you can "wear" liquid.
