The caster is surrounded in a 10 foot radius by a conjured tornado of spinning leather-bound books. The shield gives the caster advantage on saving throws against ranged attacks/effects, and resistance to piercing damage from ranged attacks. Any creature that moves within range of the funnel an immediate 1d8 bludgeoning damage from the spinning books. Creatures that start their turn in range of the funnel take an additional 1d8 bludgeoning damage.

Increase the damage by 1d8 for every spell slot higher than 3rd.
