You target a creature you can see within range and attempt to fold time over on itself within their mind. The target must make a Charisma saving throw, on a failure time begins to loop for them and on subsequent turns the target repeats all actions they took on their previous turn to the best of their ability, including movement, attacks, item interactions, etc. (e.g. moving 30 feet to the west and then attacking twice as an action).
The target performs these actions even if they wouldn't affect anything or are obstructed in some way, i.e. if the creature they attacked is no longer there, or the spell slots for a certain spell are expended - in which case they must expend a higher slot if one is available or else simply fail to cast the spell and lose their action. The DM determines the best course of action in these instances, keeping the target's behaviour as close to the original as possible.
The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the spell on a success.
