Animate golems to serve under you . Choose a nonmagical object or set of connected objects (such as a suit of armor, a set of rocks connected by pitons and rope/string, toys with detachable parts, ect.) that are not being worn or carried. You can't animate objects of size Huge or Gargantuan without the "Animation Adept" feat, and gargantuan golem's size is maxed out by the DM's discretion. The targeted object animates and becomes under your control until it is destroyed, or you spend a 1 hour ritual absorbing the magical energy back into your body. While a golem is animated, the caster permanently loses the spell slot used to cast the spell until the golem is destroyed or absorbed back into your body via 1 hour ritual. A long rest will not regain the user this spell slot.

If one of your targeted objects is reduced to 0 hitpoints and is not in an unrepairable state, (Completely flattened under the foot of a terrasque, pieces such as limbs missing when trying to repair, disintigrated into ash, melted, ect.), then you can repair the golem by magically mending the broken pieces with 1/4 rounded down the original GP cost of materials over the course of 1 hour for Tiny/small golems, 2 hours for Medium golems, 4 hours for Large golems, 1 day for Huge golems, and 1 week for Gargantuan golems. If the golem is damaged, you can heal it by 1d4 + your intelligence modifier through the use of the mend cantrip, and if the object is tiny/small/medium this can be done over a short rest counting as light activity.

These animated objects draw their life force from your current maximum magical potential (MMP) indicated by your Artificer/Bard/Sorcerer/Wizard level, and as such the size and number in existence are limited by your current maximum magical potential. Tiny objects are worth 1 MMP, Small objects are worth 2MMP, Medium Objects are worth 4MMP, Large objects are worth 8MMP, Huge objects are worth 12MMP, and Gargantuan objects are worth 16MMP. The size of the object you are able to animate depends on the spell level as shown in the last line of this spell.

As a bonus action, you can mentally command any golem you made with this spell if the creature is within 500 feet of you (if you control multiple creatures, you can command any or all of them at the same time, if issuing the same command to each one). You decide what action the creature will take and where it will move during its next turn, or you can issue a general command, such as to guard a particular chamber or corridor. If you issue no commands, the golem only defends itself against hostile creatures. Once given an order, the creature continues to follow it until its task is complete.

The golem's stats will be tailored to the object created by the DM post-session, but by default the objects will have stats corresponding to the table and description below until custom stats are put in place.

Animated Golem Base Statistics

Size HP AC Str Dex Attack
Tiny 15 14 4 16 +6 to hit, 1d4 + 2 damage
Small 25 14 6 14 +4 to hit, 1d6 + 2 damage
Medium 40 14 10 12 +4 to hit, 2d6 + 1 damage
Large 60 14 14 10 +5 to hit, 2d10 + 2 damage
Huge 80 14 18 8 +6 to hit, 2d12 + 6 damage

          Gargantuan                                    200                                      14                                        24                                          6                                   +6 to hit, 4d12 + 6 damage

An animated golem is considered a construct with AC, hit points, attacks, Strength, and Dexterity determined by its size. Its Constitution is 10 and its Intelligence and Wisdom are 3, and its Charisma is 1. Its speed is 30 feet. If the object is securely attached to a surface or a larger object, such as a chain bolted to a wall, its speed is 0. It has blindsight with a radius of 30 feet and is blind beyond that distance. If you command a golem to attack, it can make a single melee attack against a creature within 5 feet of it. It makes a slam attack with an attack bonus and bludgeoning damage determined by its size. The GM might rule that a specific object inflicts slashing or piercing damage based on its form.

Upon the death of the caster, all golems will have their maximum hit points reduced by 1 for every day the caster is dead. When they reach 0 hit points, they turn back into non-magical objects and remain motionless. If the caster comes back to life before their maximum hit points reach 0, the golems will have their maximum hit point level restored while their damage taken remains unchanged.

At Higher Levels. If you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level you can animate medium objects, 5th level you can animate Large objects. If the "Animation Adept" feat is taken, at 6th level you can animate huge objects, and 8th level can animate Gargantuan objects.

* - (*X GP worth of gemstones: 30GP for Tiny objects, 50 GP for small objects, 100 GP for medium objects, 250 GP for large objects, 500 GP for Huge objects, 1500 GP for Gargantuan objects)
