This spell creates an undulating chaotic storm of unstable magic that flashes with a myriad of different colours in the sky. Choose a point within a range of 60ft to centre the spell on, a storm appears 20ft high above said point, with a radius of 30ft. Any hostile creatures that enter the area for the first time this turn or start their turn in the area take 2d6 damage. Choose one of the d6s. The number rolled on that die determines the attack’s damage type, as shown below.
| d6 | Damage Type |
|---|---|
| 1 | Acid |
| 2 | Cold |
| 3 | Fire |
| 4 | Force |
| 5 | Psychic |
| 6 | Poison |
In addition when you cast this spell and as a bonus action each turn after you cast this spell you can summon a bolt of lightning from the storm. This bolt is also chaotic in form and strikes a random creature in the storms radius regardless of whether they are hostile to you or not (this includes you as a potential target). This bolt deals 2d8 damage with a DEXTERITY saving throw equal to your spell casting DC to half the damage.
This spell lasts for one minute, until concentration on the spell is broken or until the creature is incapacitated.
If this spell is cast using a 4th level or higher increase the spells chaotic rain damage by an additional d6. This extra damage should only be added after the base 2d6 damage has been rolled and the damage type picked accordingly.
