Vatesh’ Lashing Lights

You conjure a whip with 7 lashes, you do not need to be proficient in whips to use this spell. Make a ranged spell attack on a hit the target takes 6d8 radiant damage. Once summoned as a bonus action after attacking with the whip you can to make the whip grapple the targeted creature. Make an opposing strength check, the caster using their spell casting modifier. On a failed save the target is grappled, while grappled in this way they’re restrained. The creature must use their action to break the grapple.

For every spell slot above 3rd you gain an extra 1d8 to the damage from 4th level and higher.
