You hurl a loose, unattended object at the target. The object must be held, on your person or within 5 feet of you. Make a ranged attack against the target. On a hit, you deal 1d8 bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing damage—as appropriate for the object you hurled. No specific traits or magic properties of the hurled item affect the attack or the damage.

The spell launches more than one object when you reach higher levels: two projectiles at 5th level, three projectiles at 11th level, and four projectiles at 17th level. You can direct the projectiles at the same target or at different ones. Make a separate attack roll for each projectile.
