You attempt to imbue a creature you can see within range with a maddening thirst for blood and gore. The targeted creature can make a Wisdom saving throw if its unwilling. On a success, the spell ends with no effect. This spell does not affect creatures immune to charms, undead or constructs.
Otherwise, the target is afflicted with an unquenchable and reckless need for carnage. The target retains its intellectual faculties, but can no longer discern friend from foe, and is compelled to attack the nearest creature with melee attacks, to the best of its ability. The target will not willingly kill himself, but will take any risks to attack its foes. Additionally, while the spell lasts, the target cannot be charmed or frightened and those conditions are suppressed if the target is already affected. The targets cannot cast spells, use items, or make ranged attacks. Each target gains 2d10 temporary hit points, -2 penalty to AC, +2 bonus to hit, and 2d6 extra damage per attack of the same damage type of the weapon it uses.
If the targeted creature is unwilling, it can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its rounds, ending the effect on a success.
At higher levels. For every two spell slot levels above 3rd, add an extra 1d10 temporary hit points, an extra +1 to hit, an extra 1d6 damage, and further reduce the AC by -1.
