A magic book with which the caster is familiar with is held while casting. Upon completion of the spell, the book is disintegrated and recreated in the mind of the caster as a recallable illusion. The book is accessible at will and can be opened and read. The illusory copy has all the properties of the original but is only exists in the mind of the caster. This book can be written to and modified as the caster wishes.

If the caster wishes to add a spell to the book, they have merely to prepare that spell. Once prepared it can be added to the book in the same way that prepared spells can be added to any other magic book.

If the spell is cast on a book other than a magic book, nothing happens and the spell fails.

If the spell is cast on an unfamiliar magic book, the spell will take one hour per spell contained in the book. Upon completion of this ritual casting, the spell functions exactly as if the magic book were familiar to the caster. If the concentration of the caster is broken before the ritual is complete, the book is immediately and irretrievably destroyed.

If the spell is cast without touching a magic book a blank illusory magic book is created with all the properties of a blank magic book. This book can be modified and added to just as if a familiar magic book had been used for the casting.
