In a swell of sorcerous strength you attempt to crash ice, snow, and stone in a mystical avalanche against the targeted area. This spell is tempestuous and is variant in its results, depending on the spell level it was cast. As a result of the spell the targeted area becomes difficult terrain, reducing movement in the area by half.
Target an area with a 5ft. radius multiplied by the spell slot that was used to cast the spell. For example at 3rd level, the spell has a 15 ft. radius.
When the spell is cast roll a d6 in order to determine the resulting effect of the spell:
Rolls 1-2: The stones and ice slam towards the enemy with an avalanche like force, imbued with the bulk of your sorcerous energy once cast. Each creature in the radius must make a dexterity saving throw or take 1d8 + 2 cold damage. For each spell slot used to cast the spell above 1st level, add 1d8 + 2 cold damage.
Rolls 3-4: A wave of snow crashes into and consumes creatures in the targeted area, if the radius of the spell cast is greater than their height. Creatures within the radius must succeed on a dexterity saving throw or take 1d6 + 1 damage. Any creatures in the area are now restrained by the avalanche and must succeed on a successful strength saving throw against your spellcasting DC in order to break free. For each spell slot used to cast the spell above 1st level, add 1d6 + 1 cold damage.
Rolls 5-6: Like a strong wave against the shore, a wall of snow and freezing temperature water bubbles and swells around the targeted area chilling creatures in the targeted area to the bone, inflicting a severe brain freeze. Creatures in the area must succeed on a dexterity saving throw or take 2d4 damage. All creatures that fail the saving throw also have disadvantage on their next attack roll, saving throw, or ability check. For each spell slot used to cast the spell above 1st level, add 1d4 cold damage.
