A surge of grave energy reaches out from you, enveloping a creature you can see within range with a ghoulish aura. The target must make a Constitution saving throw, and Undead and Constructs have advantage on this saving throw. On a successful save, the spell ends. On a failed save, the target becomes poisioned, and until the spell ends, you can use your action on each of your turns to automatically deal 1d6 necrotic damage to the target. The spell ends if you use your action to do anything else.

If the target drops to 0 hit points before this spell ends, you can use a bonus action on a subsequent turn of yours to target a new creature within range, which must repeat the saving throw.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 necrotic damage for each slot level above 1st.
