Using the cards and magical ink a wizard can cast as many spells as there are cards on the deck. all spells must be different. ritual spells cannot be used. during every spell cast later on with the cards there are no vocal requirements for the spell and every spell has only the material cost of the card which is consumed by the spell being cast. each spell is triggered by the card being thrown or placed on an object if the range is touch. if the effect of the spell surrounds the caster, when it is cast with a card the spell is centered on the card and it can be thrown to change its location.

Posted Dec 4, 2018While I think this is an interesting spell, I think it is far too powerful to be a cantrip. I love the concept of being able to throw the cards, though. Perhaps is this spell allowed the caster to produce the magical ink that could then be used to cast a spell into a card similar to writing a scroll. Just a thought. But neat idea!

Posted Dec 8, 2018It works in tandem with a subclass that I've also been working on, and it is a key part of the subclass to be able to function as intended. it is a ritual and it does consume the cost of whatever spell is being put into the cards including the spell slots you might use up for it.
