Choose a set of armor worth at least 400 gp, that is not being worn or carried, within range. The spell animates the armor and it becomes a creature under your control until the spell ends or until reduced to 0 hit points. 

The creature is friendly to you and your companions. The guardian obeys verbal commands that you issue to it (no action required by you). It can perform simple tasks or it can follow a general command, such as to guard a particular chamber or corridor. In combat, the creature shares your initiative count, but it takes its turn immediately after yours. If you don’t issue any commands, it takes the Dodge and will use its reaction to protect allies, but will take no other actions. 

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the creature assumes the higher level for that casting wherever it uses the spell’s level in its stat block.

Multiattack. The guardian makes a number of attacks equal to half this spell’s level (rounded down).

Fist. Melee Weapon Attack: your spell attack modifier to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 1d8 + 4 + the spell’s level bludgeoning damage

Bash (1/Day). Melee Weapon Attack: your spell attack modifier to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit:  1d10 + 4 + the spell’s level bludgeoning damage. If the target is a Medium or smaller creature, it must succeed on a Strength saving throw against your spell save DC or be knocked prone.

Reactions

Protection. When an attacker the guardian can see makes an attack roll against a creature within 10 feet it, the guardian can impose disadvantage on the attack roll.
