You create a impenetrable blanket of shadow that flies towards a creature to totally encapsulate it, the target must initially make a Dexterity saving, on a failure they are completely encased in an opaque black film that restricts their movement to 5ft, the target must then make a Constitution saving throw or be rendered blind for the duration. On a successful Con save the blanket of shadow is somewhat visible and their vision is reduced to half what it would be for their vision in the environment they are in. If they succeed their Dex save the blanket of shadow misses the creature and fades into nothing meaning there is no need for the second save.
Once the time has expired or has been freely ended the piece of black cloth used for the spell reverts to it's original size and returns through the air, at a speed of 60ft a round, to the caster.
The chosen Target can be no larger than your size category.
Casting at 3rd will allow you to target a creature one size category larger. Cast at 4 level and higher adds 1d6 necrotic damage to the blanket of shadows, should they fail both saves.
