Awaken Shrub

You press the ball of clay into the ground at the base of a shrub.  The shrub animates, gaining statistics as an Awakened Shrub with an intelligence of 3 and the ability to understand but not speak 1 language you know.  While you maintain concentration, the shrub is friendly toward you and obeys general commands, such as to guard a corridor you designate, or attack a creature that is hostile toward you.  After your concentration ends, the awakened shrub acts of its own volition.  It is a simple creature, desiring to subsist in nutrient-rich soil and ample sunlight.  It will defend itself if attacked, and may actively seek a more pleasing environment.
