Aldera’s Apple Assault

Attacking capabilities. A volley of magically strengthened apples soars out from a forest or tree you choose within range. Each creature in a 15 foot cone must make a Dexterity saving throw(DC = Your spell save DC). A creature takes 3d6 bludgeoning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Restorative capabilities. 

With a second level spell slot, 1d4 apples are edible. These apples will feed the eater for 4 hours and heal for one hitpoint. The apple will rot after one hour, and will not convey the same effects. It may also poison the eater if they eat a rotten apple, at DM's discretion. When cast with a spell slot every two levels above second, add 1d4 to the amount of apples that survive.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, every other level, the damage increases by 1d6 piercing damage for each slot level above 2nd, as the apples now have pieces of the twig/branch they were growing from attached. On the spell slot levels where the damage does not increase in piercing, it increases by 1d4 bludgeoning damage, as they also have pieces of bark attached.

Alternate Option for 8th and 9th level spell slots. When this spell is cast using a spell slot of 8th level, an entire tree is uprooted, and launched at an enemy of your choosing. When this spell is cast with a spell slot of 9th level, three trees are uprooted, and launched at an enemy (or enemies). Each tree does 10d12 bludgeoning or piercing damage to the target, depending on the orientation of the tree. For example, if the tree was pointed directly at the enemy while hurtling through the air, the damage type would be piercing. If it was longwise, the damage type would be bludgeoning. The trees act as flammable 15ft by 5ft (Length by Width) walls once on the ground. Damage increases from lower spell slot levels do not apply to the damage of the tree. Area of effect type is a rectangular cube, with a different orientation depending on the caster's choice.
