The caster calls upon the light to restrain their target by chains made out of pure light energy in a manner of the caster's choosing. Any body part can be restrained. The target must make a dexterity saving throw or have their chosen body part be restrained and unable to move for a duration of up to 1 minute, during which the target can make dexterity saving throws with disadvantage at the end of each of their turns in order to escape. The chains have the same durability as steel.
The chain may be wielded as a weapon if attached to two reasonably movable objects. It is considered a finesse weapon, and if a target is struck with the length of the chain, it does 1d4 + your strength or dexterity modifier (whichever one was used for the attack roll) in bludgeoning damage. When wielded with two hands, the damage increases to 1d6 + modifiers bludgeoning damage.
This spell can not be upcast.
