Unleash a potent affliction on a creature that you can see within range. The target must make a Constitution saving throw. If it fails, the affliction takes hold. The pain surges in varying strength throughout the spells' duration. At the start of it's turn, the target takes 1d6 amount of 1d4s of necrotic damage. If the spell is ended early by other means than the caster losing concentration or the caster ending the spell early, the creature that removed it takes damage equal to half of the remaining damage of the spell.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the damage increases by 2d4 for each slot level above 2nd. The extra dies granted by scaling up the spell are guaranteed. For instance, when casting the spell using a 4th level spell slot the damage is 1d6 amount of d4s + 4d4 necrotic damage.
