A creature you touch regains a number of hit points equal to 1 HP + the spellcasting ability modifier. This spell has no effect on undead or constructs. The spell can only be used once per creature unless additional damage is taken. 

The spell’s healing powers increases to  d4 + spellcasting ability modifier at 5th level, d6 + spellcasting ability modifier at 11th level (3), and d8 + spellcasting ability modifier at 17th level.
