This spell splits the caster's blood in two, with one mass of it staying within their body, and the other mass forming into a shape-wise identical copy with a few limitations compared to the real caster. When you cast this spell, your hit point maximum is halved, rounded up, and your blood copy gains the half that was lost for its HP. The blood copy appears within 5 feet of you, has the exact same stats as you, can take all the same actions, but it only has half the spell slots that you have, rounded up, can only cast necromancy spells other than Blood Split, and any of its summoned and controlled creatures count as your summoned and controlled creatures and vice versa. Your hit point maximum isn't reduced if you have Inured to Undeath among your character features, but the copy still only copies half your hit point maximum, rounded down.

Your blood copy acts independently of you, but it always obeys your commands. In combat, it rolls its own initiative and acts on its own turn.

The blood copy lasts for the duration, until it dies, or until you use a bonus action to absorb it back into you, which can be done at any range. When it expires in any of these ways, you regain the hit points that you lost from your maximum, and are healed for whatever amount of hit points it had left when it expired, and of course it disappears, with the spell ending.

While your blood copy is within 100 feet of you, you can communicate with it telepathically. Additionally, as an action, you can see through your blood copy's eyes and hear what it hears until the start of your next turn, gaining the benefits of any special senses that the blood copy has. During this time, you are deaf and blind with regard to your own senses.

You can't have more than one blood copy at a time.

If you cast this spell every day for thirty days then the blood copy becomes permanent until it dies and your hit point maximum is no longer affected by it, and it starts with hit points equal to your normal hit point maximum. Whenever you resummon it from it dying or absorbing it, by casting the spell of course, after this 1 month point, it doesn't affect your HP at all and it once again lasts until it dies and copies your normal hit point maximum.

Finally, when you cast a spell with a range of touch, your blood copy can deliver the spell as if it had cast the spell. Your blood copy must be within 100 feet of you, and it must use its reaction to deliver the spell when you cast it. If the spell requires an attack roll, you use your attack modifier for the roll.
