You expel thousands of lightning tendrils in a 60-foot cone in front of you. Each creature in the area must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failure, they take 6d8 lightning damage, or half as much damage on a save.
Creatures that failed the saving throw have unstable electrical tendrils that crackle in them. At the start of their turn, there is a 33 percent chance they are paralyzed until the end of their turn. When the paralysis ends, they need to succeed a Constitution saving throw or the electrical tendrils continue to affect them in this way on their next turn.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 6th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 5th.
