After absorbing elemental energy with the 'Absorb Elements' spell, instead of using the stored energy in a melee attack, you can cast this spell as a bonus action to redirect the energy into a specially prepared container. Only one type of energy can be stored in the container at a time, and repeating this process with a different element type replaces the currently stored energy. After absorbing and storing an element in this manner, you can cast this spell again as an action.
When casting this spell as an action, a spectral fist shimmering with elemental energy springs forth from your fingertips, streaking towards a target within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 1d8 elemental damage, with the damage type being defined by the energy stored previously. This does not consume the stored energy.
This spell's damage increases by 1d8 when you reach 5th level (2d8), 11th level (3d8), and 17th level (4d8).

Posted Nov 10, 2018I am considering adding a GP requirement for the storage container and then allowing the option to carry multiple containers. This would allow the user to gradually increase their available energy types at the expense of carrying space and gold.
Any suggestions for the price?
