Absorb Vitality allows you to temporarily suck the energy out of another living creature and imbue yourself or another with it. The creature you target must make a Constitution saving throw or have the energy sucked out of its being. The creature takes a single level of Exhaustion, a condition detailed in the PHB, and you transfer that energy into yourself or another you can see within 30 feet of you. The energy transferred grants several effects, including; 10 temporary hit points, advantage on all Ability checks and Saving Throws based on your Strength and Constitution, +3 to the damage rolls of melee weapon attacks, and your movement speed is increased by an amount equal to half your current speed.

          After the spell has ended, the energy seeps out of the recipient and back to the original target, causing the recipient to lose all boons they gained, while the target is cured of their level of Exhaustion.

This spell does not work on constructs or undead, and the effect does not stack.

At Higher Levels. When upcasted, the caster gains another +1 to their damage rolls and 10 temporary hit points per slot level higher than 5th level. Also, every two levels higher than 5th, an additional level of exhaustion is gained by the target of the spell.
