Acidic Fragment

You shoot a burning black shard at a target. Make a ranged spell attack. On a hit, it deals 1d6 acid damage and seeps into the target. At the end of the creatures next turn, it takes another 1d4 acid damage, at which point the fragment dissolves. Before the end of it's next turn, the creature can take an action to remove the fragment, preventing the d4 of damage.

The damage of this spell increases to 2d6 at level 5, 3d6 at level 11, and 4d6 at level 17.
