You choose an area of water that you can see within range, and that fits within a 5-foot cube. You manipulate it in the following ways:

  • You cause the water to form into 3-7 lanterns, candles, or other light source shapes, and cause them to luminesce.

  • You may change the water's color and dim their brightness.

  • You may move the Water Lanterns to float anywhere within the 30 ft. range, and they will remain there.

This spell may be cast and used underwater. Before the duration is over, the spell can be recast to keep the same effects on the Water Lanterns. When the duration of the spell ends, or when the spell is dismissed, the lanterns turn back to water and splash to the ground.
