You morbidly spin magic to extrude your own bones into the form of a pointed spear that extends from your forearm above the hand. As an additional cost to casting this spell, you take 2d4 piercing damage as the bone lance comes out of your skin. As you cast the spell, and on subsequent turns, you can make one melee spell attack with the lance as a bonus action. On a hit, the lance does piercing damage equal 1d8 plus the amount of piercing damage you took when casting the spell. As a bonus action while the blade is active, you can shoot the blade out to a range of 60 feet. Make a ranged spell attack, dealing piercing damage equal 3d8 plus an amount of d4s equal to damage taken. Launching the lance ends the spell.
At higher levels. When this spell is cast using a 4th level slot or higher, you can take an additional attack with the spear for every 2 spell levels higher than 3rd.
