Caim's Knot

In order to activate this enchantment, you must cut your hand and then shake the target's similarly cut hand. Once this is done, demonic energy will come over both you and the target and the symbol of Caim will appear on the ground beneath you in red. For one minute, both you and the target will be compelled to answer completely truthfully any question asked. In back and forth order starting with you, a question will be asked that the other participant must honestly answer, then return with a question of their own. After the minute is over, both parties will have full recognition of what just transpired.

This enchantment cannot work if the pact is not agreed upon by both sides. Charmed targets can enter the pact, however. Once the bond is made, it cannot be broken by either party and the participants cannot move of their own accord before the time is out. An enchanted individual will only respond to questions offered by the other bonded individual. For every 10 seconds a participant does not offer a question, they will take 3d12 psychic damage. If a participant asks a question out of order or repeats a question they've already asked, they take another 3d12 psychic damage.

Alternatively, the bond can be used to create a blood pact. When in the knot, you can use one of your questions to ask the target whether they would adhere to a pact you have set out. If they say they wont, then nothing happens. However, if the answer is yes, the bond dissolves and the demonic energy is absorbed into the cut on their palm. The wound can be healed but a pulsating scar still remains as a reminder of the pact. If the pact is broken, the scar flares up and deals 6d12 psychic damage, ending the pact.

If you wish to see over a bond between two other individuals, they must cut their hands and shake. When they do, you can touch their shaking hands to cast the spell between them.
