You call out a harsh insult fused with a deadly enchantment to a creature that can hear you, (though it need not understand you) within range. The target must succeed a Charisma saving throw or take 6d6 psychic damage and gain disadvantange on charisma checks until the end of your next turn. If they succeed the saving throw, the target only takes half damage and does not suffer disadvantage.
However, when you choose to target a creature with this spell you can choose to not deal any damage but still afflict them with disadvantage on charisma checks. If you do so, targeting a creature with this spell will not be considered a hostile action, though they may still react aggressively if your words would prompt such a response.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, you can target one additional creature for each slot level above 3rd. The additional targets must be within the spell's range, though you do not need to see them or be aware of their exact location for as long as you are aware of their existence.
