When this spell is cast, a gorilla is summoned somewhere reasonably near the caster and any other creatures close to them. The gorilla is automatically invisible and its location is determined by the DM and is known only to them; once this spell is cast it is out of the caster's hand.
The gorilla lasts until it is removed by a banishment spell (if the concentration is complete it does not return) or slain. Once slain the gorilla's body automatically disappears after 1d6 rounds. The invisible gorilla uses the stat block of a giant ape but is size category large.
The DM rolls a d100 (or may chose themselves) to determine the behavior of the invisible gorilla. The gorilla has it's own initiative.
(0-50) The gorilla does not move, it remains where the DM places it until a creature bumps into it or an attack hits it somehow. Once this occurs the gorilla attacks the creature responsible (similarly to having held an action) and then will randomly attack any creature with reckless abandon on subsequent turns.
(51-70) The gorilla now moves in sort of a meandering fashion (perhaps towards anything interesting), until a creature bumps into it or an attack hits it somehow. Once this occurs the gorilla attacks the creature responsible (similarly to having held an action) and then will randomly attack any creature with reckless abandon on subsequent turns.
(71-99) The gorilla does not wait to be interacted with and instantly attacks the nearest creature when its turn comes around.
   (100) The gorilla leaves, it will return one day at the time of the caster's greatest need. Until then it's whereabouts are unknown to anyone but the DM.

Remember, the gorilla is very quiet and very angry. It has no friends, and it has no allies. It's ability to be swayed to a side or reasoned with is determined by the DM. A caster cannot cast "Zander's Invisible Gorilla"  if there is still a gorilla from a previous casting around somewhere. The previous gorilla must be slain or dealt with before the spell is cast again.

"Why would you make this spell? Who does it benefit? Where does the gorilla come from?" - Instructor Comment on Zander Jenkins' submission of this spell to a professor as part of an assignment during his days of schooling.
