Cast this spell as you touch a sample of fresh blood from a creature that has recently died. For the duration, you can see and hear a vision of the circumstances leading up to the death of a recently deceased creature whose blood you are in physical contact with. Make a DC15 Investigation check, which is modified by how well you knew the target and the physical connections to the creature you have at your disposal in addition to the required blood sample. You can change target blood samples belonging to different creatures for the duration, but must make the check for each, and living creatures in the visions appear as shadowy figures with warped whispers and are unclear or unrecognizable to some extent.

On a failed check, you see no vision, and you can't use this spell on the same creature's remains for 24 hours.
On a successful check, you see and hear through the creature's perceptions in the moments leading up to it's death. The visions you get of the death of the creature cannot exceed 3 minutes prior to the creature's time of death. You can cast this spell on a blood sample of a creature that has died up to 14 days prior to casting, but the DC of the check increases by 2 for each day beyond 7.
