You summon a fey spirit that takes the form of a beast and appears in unoccupied spaces that you can see within range.
The creature must be a beast of challenge rating 1/2 or lower. The beast is also considered a celestial, fey, or fiend (your choice).
The summoned creature is friendly to you and your companions. Roll initiative for the summoned creature, which has its own turns. It obeys any verbal commands that you issue to it (no action required by you). If you don't issue any commands to them, it defend itself from hostile creatures, but otherwise take no actions.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell with a spell slot of 2nd level of higher, you can summon a beast of a CR equal to half that spell slot level.
