You cause a wildfire to spread across a point on the ground that you can see within range. Until the spell ends, the magic wildfire fills a 5-foot cube. Any creature in the wildfire's space when you cast the spell must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take 2d6 fire damage. A creature must also make the saving throw when it moves into the wildfire’s space for the first time on a turn or ends its turn there.
At the beginning of each of your turns, you may create a number of 5-foot cubes of wildfire in spaces within 5 feet of another cube of wildfire made with this spell equal to the number of cubes already made with this spell, to a maximum of 25 cubes existing at one time.
The wildfire ignites flammable objects in its area that aren’t being worn or carried.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the first cube's damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 1st.
