Arcane Barrage

While casting the spell, you slice the tip of your finger with the silver dagger used as a material component, and then let blood drip onto the dagger's blade. The dagger is then consumed in a ball of blue flame, and you can create up to twenty shards of magical force. Each shard hits a creature of your choice that you can see within range. A shard deals 1d6+1 force damage to its target. The shards all strike simultaneously and you can direct them to hit one creature or several.

When the spell is cast, your hit point maximum decreases by an amount equal to 4 times the number of shards you created. Only a wish spell can undo this reduction to your hit point maximum. This reduction to your maximum hit points cannot be avoided by any means.
