You create a shield in your hand, readily wielded. You decide the look and material of the shield but it functions as a standard shield. You are considered proficient with this shield. While you wield this shield if you are targeted by an attack and the roll is 10 or higher but still misses you, you can use your reaction to have the shield gain 1 charge. If you wield this shield and cast the Shield spell and cause the attack to miss you, the shield gains 5 charges. On your turn you can spend 10 charges and use the Dodge action as a bonus action and when you do you can choose to gain 1d10 temporary hit points. 

You can use a bonus action to dismiss the shield or to summon it back. The shield disappears when the spell ends. You can choose to end the spell early as an action. The spell ends early if the shield is ever more than 10 ft from you, except when dismissed.

Actions for Casting: Normally, this spell requires a bonus action to cast. However, if you have cast a spell as a bonus action this turn that also required the same material component cost as this spell, and it was provided (not substituted or ignored due to another feature), then you can cast this spell as an action instead, ignoring the rule about casting spells as a bonus action. If you have cast spells, that also required the same material component cost as this spell, for both your bonus action and your action then you can cast this spell without requiring any action.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the shield gains a magic bonus which applies a magical bonus to your AC while the shield is wielded. The bonus increases at higher levels. 4th level or higher: +1 bonus, 6th level or higher: +2 bonus, 8th level or higher: +3 bonus.

(Note: It isn't possible to replicate this automatically. It is recommended that you add a Shield to your inventory or, if using at higher levels, a +1 Shield+2 Shield or +3 Shield as appropriate. You can also create Custom Actions for the other features.
