Binding Chain

As an action, or reaction taken when a creature that you can see, within range, moves away from you, you send out an ethereal chain connecting you both. The target must succeed on a Charisma saving through (they may choose to fail this save), or become unable to move, or be moved, any further away from you. An affected creature can remake the saving through at the end of each of their turns, ending the effect on a success. As an action, you can cause the chain to shorten or extend by up to 10ft, bringing the affected creature closer to you, or allowing it to move further away.

When casting this spell as an action, you are able to create one additional chain, targeting a different creature, per spell level used, above 1st.
