You conjure a weapon from your blood that you are proficient with. This weapon has the same properties as a normal weapon, but it deals Necrotic weapon. If you drop the weapon, it turns to liquid blood. You can create a weapon and give it to someone else, but then you have to concentrate on that weapon. Creating a third weapon causes one of the weapons to turn to liquid blood. You can throw the weapon and cause it`s damage, but shortly after contact, the weapon turns to blood. Conjuring a ranged weapon will magically gain ammo. The drop of blood is taken as a toll from the user of this cantrip, causing 1 Necrotic damage to the caster.
At Higher levels: The weapon types that can be created increases and damage taken by 1 at 5th (Melee weapons with the Two-handed property, Shortbow and Crossbow, light and 2 damage taken) and 11th (All melee and ranged weapons and 3 damage taken) level.

Posted May 8, 2023Hi there, I love that spell and it got me thinking a little.
So a suggestiong how about psychic damage, i think it would fit. Like an additional 1d4 that scales with level up. so weapon damage plus 1d4 , then 1d6 at level 5 and 1d8 at level 11
Blood weapons are hardcore and getting sliced by one is very demoralizing in my opinion. Alternatively switch it to necrotic since its blood getting into contact with another creature.
Different blood types can cause each other to clot and who knows how magical blood works on other blood!

Glad you like the cantrip, and indeed: your suggestion sounds very good! Might have to update this later.
