Posted Aug 17, 2019well that depends on how you rule a hangover; could be ruled as one level exhaustion combined with being poisoned if there's still alcohol in your system.

Posted Apr 25, 2021Does this remove level 1 exhaustion?
Or are the afflictions limited specifically to the 4 noted?

Posted May 13, 2021It takes a Greater Restoration to remove a level of exhaustion, and yes, as written only these 4. As the DM, you could rule however you want for it, however.

Posted May 13, 2021Of course, but your game balance could suffer. Spells are very carefully balanced.

Posted Jun 13, 2021DMs can change the rules for anything they would like! The rulebooks are simply a set of guidelines that work together. As geoducks says, though, adjust carefully, because the rules are pretty thoroughly playtested for balance. Make smaller changes at first until you get a hang for their impact.
One good way to handle rules changes is to discuss it with your players first, or at least notify them so they don't get an unpleasant surprise when your house rules give them less than what they read in the books. Similarly, if they find out after the fact that they could have used a level 2 slot for lesser restoration but they used greater restoration instead, they might feel annoyed.
Good communication with your players is key!

I know it cures blindness but how deeply?

Posted Mar 17, 2022AFAIK, this spell removes the Blinded condition, which can be afflicted through magical means such as Blindness/Deafness, but can't actually cure eyes that were ruined or taken out or something. You can handwave this ofcourse, if youre the DM, but I suggest making it a greater restoration required, otherwise this is too cheap
