Cursed by the Siren

This subclass replaces Fathomless. While it has the usual features, it also has a handful of changes made to it to better fit Syreni's influence.

Chilled Tail of the Mermaid

This replaces the Tentacle of the Deep. Instead of a tentacle forming, a large dolphin tail comes from any spot within 60ft of Iota that she can choose. The area within 5ft of it becomes watery, making it difficult terrain for anyone without swim speed. The tail can be moved up to 30ft in any direction, even up walls, and when it attacks someone, it makes a 5ft range attack using the spell attack and does 1d8 Cold damage when it hits. This damage increases to 2d8 at lvl 10.

Songful Spirit

Iota gains resistance to Cold damage and can understand anyone who is submerged in water, regardless of their language. She also gets one usage of d6 Bardic Inspiration per short rest if she is using a lute. She also gets proficiency with the lute.

Manipulative Creations

Iota gains Evard's Black Tentacles, but it instead appears as several illusionary Syrenis. This can be used once per long rest. Iota can also expend a spell slot to boost this power. Additionally, all party members within 30ft of Iota gain 2d8 temp hp whenever Iota uses this spell.

Methselaenaë's Blessing

This is only available after Syreni has been defeated. The following effects happen:

Iota no longer gets dis after bonus action dashing underwater.

The bardic inspo increases to 1d10

Evard's Black Tentacles but better now gives 3d8 temp hp to everyone
