Wizard
Base Class: Wizard

Your character has graduated with equal amounts of Divination and Necromancy, two underrated magics. Now, they've realized by now the reason why most wizards go insane in towers, summoning monsters or lobbing around Fireballs like they're hotcakes. These lands need somebody noble, who answers the questions that nobody asked for, but everyone wondered.
(Inspired by Brian David Gilbert.)

Under Pressure

At 2nd level, you can work under pressure, cool and calculated, even in the most dire situations. When you use Arcane Recovery, your DM specifically has to tell you the spells in your spellbook that will help you and your allies the most for the next hour.

Not Your Friend

When you cast Animate Dead, the zombies or skeletons can speak one language of your choice, and remember what they knew in life. However, if they have a negative view towards you, it is possible they will not say anything, but continue to follow your orders.

Worked Some Days

You're used to taking impacts from people with more consistent attacks. Taking damage no longer causes you to lose concentration on Necromancy spells.

Cursed Hubris

Once per long rest, when you are reduced to zero hit points, this is when you snap. All of your toil, the blood you and your party has shed, it cannot be for nothing. You drop to one hit point instead, and can cast any Necromancy spell at your attacker as a reaction. You may also add Finger of Death to your spellbook for free, and if you already have it, you receive the gold spent back.
