Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

All barbarians harbor a fury within. Their rage grants them superior strength, durability, and speed. Barbarians who follow the Path of the Storm Rider learn to transform that rage into a mantle of primal magic, which swirls around them. When in a fury, a barbarian of this path taps into the forces of nature to create powerful magical effects.

Storm riders are typically elite champions who train alongside druids, rangers, and others sworn to protect nature. Other storm riders hone their craft in lodges in regions wracked by storms, in the frozen reaches at the world’s end, or deep in the hottest deserts.

Thunderous Leap

As an bonus action while raging, you can choose to jump up to your movement speed in any direction. When you impact, lightning explodes around you. Any creature within a 10ft sphere of your landing must roll a DC15 Dexterity saving throw or be pushed back 10feet and take 1d6 lightning damage.

Once you reach 6th level, your Thunderous Leap increases to 2d6 and leaves a path of lightning in its wake for 30 seconds(5 rounds). Any creature within this area of effect must succeed a DC15 Dexterity saving throw or take 1d5 lightning damage.

Once you reach 14th level, your Thunderous Leap becomes an instantaneous teleport, all other effects remain.

You may only use this feature once per rage.

Storm Aura

Starting at 3rd level, you emanate a stormy, magical aura while you rage. The aura sheds dim light 10 feet from you in every direction, but not through total cover.

You are a part of the storm itself, you gain a +3 to your nature skill. Additionally, you may endure any natural storm entirely unharmed. (This does not extend to spell effects)

The bonus damage from your rage is now lightning damage.

Lightning Mantle

Whilst raging, your Storm Aura becomes a mantle of cracking energy that enshrouds you.

You no longer provoke opportunity attacks whilst you are raging.

Conductive Armour

Once per long rest, you can use your reaction after being hit by a damaging spell to cause a bolt of vengeful lightning to arc towards your attacker.

The creature striking you, as well as all creatures between you in a 5ft path, must make a DC15 Dexterity saving throw. On failure, they take lightning damage equal to how much damage you took (split evenly between all targets hit).

Forked Lightning

At 14th level, the power of the storm you channel grows mightier, lashing out at your foes.

When you land a melee attack against an enemy within your Storm Aura, a bolt of lightning arcs from them to the nearest creature within 10feet.

This creature suffers lightning damage equal to half the damage inflicted against the initial target. (Rounded down)

If there is no available creature, the bolt arcs to yourself instead, healing you for a quarter of the damage inflicted against the initial target. (Rounded down).

Storm Rider

The storms bare you aloft.

At 14th level, while you are raging you gain 30ft flying speed.
