Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

You are not only the master of the dark but the dead as well. You might act alone but you never fight or execute a plane alone. You control the souls of the dead to fight on your side when needed and take their powers for your own utility.

Shadow Marionette

Starting at 3rd level, you can make those who are dead follow you. However, your current Shadow Hunter level will correspond to what Shadow CR level you can control or Shadow CR total you can have on the field.

Arise

When you reach the 3rd level, you are able to take control of those who have died based on the Shadow Marionette ability. When you take control of a monster you steal its shadow and take it under your control. The Shadows that you control will listen to you, never disobey, and respect you, but they still have their personality from the monster they came from.

  • Your Shadow's CR # = Monster's CR # || Ex: If you have a Shadow CR LVL Control of 1 then you can only resurrect Monsters with a CR of 1 or less.
  • Your Shadow CR LVL Control also limits how many Shadows you can have out on the field at once || Ex: If your Shadow CR LVL Control is 2 then you can have one CR 2 Shadow out, or four CR 1/2 Shadows out or any combination that would add up to the total LVL Control.
  • Shadows that are out on the field cannot stay our for longer than 5 minutes in total for the day. After a long rest the Shadows' field time is reset to 5 minutes.
  • As a Shadow Hunter you are able to contain a total of CR 8 Shadows in your shadow || Ex: you can have a four CR 2 Shadows, two CR 4 Shadows, or thirty-two CR 1/8 Shadows under your control in your shadow.
  • If a Shadow that you control has an ability from the original monster you can use it, however if that monster can cast spells you can not use any spell higher than 3rd level, but you may still use 4th level and higher spell slots for the 3rd level and lower spells.

Reflection of Will

Starting at 9th level, the Shadows you created gain additional hit points equal to your intelligence modifier. At level 13 your shadow gain hit points equal to twice your intelligence modifier. Lastly, at level 17 your Shadows gain hit points equal to triple your intelligence modifier.

Transfer of Power

By 13th level, Shadows under your control can be made to give up their time for the day and be given to another Shadow so that one can be out for longer. If you control a CR 1 Shadow you can give up another CR 1 Shadow's time for the day so that it can stay out for 5 more minutes, however if you for example gave up a CR 4 Shadow's time to a CR 1 Shadow the CR 1 Shadow would gain 20 minutes and if vis-versa the CR 4 Shadow would gain 1 minute and 15 seconds. So the amount of time gained for a CR # Shadow is dependent on what CR the Shadow given up is.

NOTE: You could give up a CR 4 Shadow's time for a CR 1/8 Shadow to gain 2 hours and 40 minutes

Deeper Darker Shadow

When you reach 17th level, you can now have an accumulated level of CR 15 Shadows at your disposal. Your maximum CR # for your total amount of of Shadows you can have out on the field or level of one Shadow under your control must still follow the abilities Shadow Marionette and Arise.
