Wizard
Base Class: Wizard

Cooking is an art and it also has some innate magical powers. Consider it, when you eat a delicious meal it affects your emotional state, when you eat a traditional meal it can make you nostalgic. Cooking is a magical art, which is something the School of Gastronomy teaches and preaches happily.

Bonus Proficiencies

2nd-level School of Gastronomy feature

You gain proficiency with cook's utensils and both nature and survival.

Monstrous Appetite

2nd-level School of Gastronomy feature

You have learnt how to create meals from very little, utilising what you've earned on the battlefield.

Choose 3 creature types from the following list; beast, fey, giant, monstrosity, ooze, plant, or undead.

Over the course of a long rest, you can create a single course meal for a number of creatures equal to your proficiency bonus. Any creature that consumes the meal gains temporary hit points equal to your Intelligence modifier + your proficiency bonus. The creature also gains an additional bonus based on the creature type used to create the meal. These benefits and temporary hit points last until the end of your next long rest.

Creatures cannot be effected by the same creature type's meal more than once. This includes meals that have options.

Ingredient Gathering

Discuss with your DM how ingredient gathering will work. You may like to harvest the ingredients from creatures that you have killed, or you could buy them from some merchants. The particularly rare ingredients may be harder to acquire, possibly only from specific vendors in specific areas, and/or cost a significant amount.

Beast

Creatures that consume this meal gain advantage on attack rolls against a creature if at least one of their allies is within 5 feet of the creature and the ally isn’t incapacitated.

Fey

Creatures that consume this meal gain advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened.

Giant

Creatures that consume this meal have a +1 to their AC and advantage on Strength saving throws.

Monstrosity

Creatures that consume this meal gain darkvision out to 60 feet and advantage on Constitution saving throws. If a creature already has darkvision instead increase the range by 30 feet.

Ooze

Creatures that consume this meal gain advantage on checks against being grappled and can squeeze through spaces as though they were one size category smaller. For example, medium to small or small to tiny.

Plant

Creatures that consume this meal can ignore difficult terrain made by non-magical plants and gain a 10 ft. increase to their movement speed.

Undead

Creatures that consume this meal gain advantage on death saving throws and immunity to the poisoned condition.

Fast Food

6th-level School of Gastronomy feature

Your meal preperation has become such that you can quickly prepare a smaller meal even in the heat of battle.

As an action, you can create a smaller version of one of your Monstrous Appetite meals. You then choose one creature within 10 feet of you (this can be you), that creature immediately gains the benefits of the chosen Monstrous Appetite meals, including the temporary hit points and additional benefit. These benefits last only until the creature finishes a short rest.

Once you have used this action, you cannot do so again until you finish a long rest.

Note

This smaller meal cannot only use one type of creature as its ingredients. This is an exception to A Feast Fit for Heroes.

Atrocious Appetite

10th-level School of Gastronomy feature

Your methods may be horrendous to some, but none can deny the deliciousness and power of your meals.

You can create a Monstrous Appetite meal using creatures of the chosen types, granting the appropriate temporary hit points as normal and benefits depending on the creature type used to create the meal.

Plant

Creatures that consume this meal can ignore difficult terrain made by non-magical plants and gain a 10 feet increase to their movement speed.

Undead

Creatures that consume this meal gain advantage on death saving throws.

A Feast Fit for Heroes

14th-level School of Gastronomy feature

Your feasts are lavish at the worst of times and overly extravagent at the best of times, anything you cook is delicious and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.

You add the heroes' feast spell to your spellbook and can cast it even if it's not prepared, expending a spell slot as normal, and can cast it as part of preparing a meal with monstrous Appetite.

Additionally, when you create a meal with Monstrous Appetite, you can combine ingredients from two different creature types, granting any creature that consumes it the benefits of both.
