Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

A barbarian on this path has undergone many grueling experiments that have adapted their body to harness magical energy to use against their foes.

When a barbarian on this path rages experimental runes along their arms light up as they absorb their foes magical energy, expending that energy to strengthen themselves and cast their foes spells.

Spell Containment

Starting at 3rd level, you have the ability to nullify and store the effects of your foes spells. While raged and as a reaction you can absorb one non-friendly spell that targets you into the runes in your arms nullifying the damage of the spell but not any effects the spell may cause, the runes in your arms glow (color of your choice) and the spell is stored inside. The number of different spells you can have stored is equal to your proficiency bonus (Minimum of 1). While raged and as a bonus action you can unleash the power inside of the runes to cast one of the spells stored inside. Constitution is your spellcasting ability for these spells and you always cast these spells at the lowest possible level.  You have so many charges to use absorbed spells equal to half your barbarian level + your constitution modifier and the number of charges used for each spell are equal to that spells level (1 charge for cantrips). Once you've stored the maximum number of spells you cant store any more until all of the current charges are used. You cannot gain more charges until all of the current charges have been used. Once all charges are used the runes overheat and all the spells inside are lost. You cant use the runes again until you finish a short or long rest.

The maximum level of a spell you can absorb is 1st at 3rd level,  2nd at 6th level, 3rd at 10th level, and 4th at 14th level. If you attempt to absorb a spell at a higher level than you currently can absorb or you are at the maximum number of spells stored your runes will flicker dealing 1D10 force damage per level above what you can absorb to yourself (damage done this way can not be reduced or prevented) and the spell still hits you as it normally would.

If any spell cast this way requires a saving throw, the DC equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier.

Broken Circuits

Starting at 3rd level, the many experiments have permanently damaged your magic circuits preventing any form of spellcasting other than the spells stored in your runes. In addition, your body has built up a natural resistance to spells and their effects giving you advantage on any save caused by a spell or an effect of a spell while raging.

Magic Infused Strikes

Starting at 6th level, when you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack you may expend up to 4 charges to have that attack do bonus force damage. For each charge used add one ascending damage die (1st charge 1d4, 2nd charge 1d6, 3rd charge 1d8, 4th charge 1d10).

Enhanced Runes

Starting at 10th, level you've gained the ability to enhance the spells stored inside of your runes. If any spell you cast from your runes can be cast at a higher level you may expend more charges to increase its level by 1 per every 2 charges used this way (after the initial cost). If all charges are used this way the runes still overheat and all spells inside are lost. Spells cast this way can not be increased to any level higher the highest level you can currently absorb.

Spell Redirection

Starting at 14th, level the extensive use of your runes has given you an even greater resistance to magic. While raged and as a reaction when targeted with a non-friendly ranged spell you can expend 4 charges from your runes to redirect the spell at any non-friendly creature that you can see within 30ft, you do not have to roll to hit with this spell. This feature can only redirect the damage a spell does and not any other effects the spell may have. If using this feature causes you to run out of charges the runes still overheat and all spells inside are lost. Spells redirected this way can't be of a higher level than the highest level of spell you can currently absorb.
