Blademasters spend years training and refining their skills to use swords like no other.

Refined Technique, Special Strike

Begging when you choose this Martial Archetype at 3rd level,  while you are wielding one or two daggers, double-blade scimitars, greatswords, longswords, rapiers, scimitars, shortswords, sickles or Yklwas, you can choose which damage type those weapons do from bludgeoning, piercing and slashing. Those weapons are called blade weapons. Additionally, when you land a critical hit, or do the or more than the maximum roll of damage dice with a blade weapon, you choose from the special strike table for an effect. For example, if I have a Dexterity of 16, and am using a shortsword, and roll a 4 on the d6, the damage becomes seven, which is higher than 6, so I choose from the table.

BLUDGEONING- If you choose this, make a Strength check with advantage contested by the opponents Constitution saving throw. If you succeed, the opponent is stunned until it regains hit points.

PIERCING- If you choose this, make a Strength or Dexterity check against the target's AC. If you succeed, the target is incapacitated, and all attacks against it have advantage. This lasts until it regains hit points.

SLASHING- If you choose this, the target's speed is reduced by 10 until it regains hit points, and it must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or be knocked prone.

Sometimes it asks the target to make a saving throw. If so, the DC is your special strike DC.

Special strike save DC- 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength or Dexterity modifier (your choice)

Defense and Offense

Starting at 7th level, you can use a bonus action to go into a defensive or offensive style.

DEFENSE- All attack rolls against you have disadvantage. If you are within 5 feet of another creature, you can choose to let this benefit apply to them as well. While you are in defensive, if you take an action, move more then half your speed or take a reaction, your style ends.

OFFENSIVE- All attack rolls you make have advantage. If you take an action other than attack, or move more than half your speed, this effect ends.

You must wait 3 rounds before you can go into another style.

Bonded Weapon

At 10th level, any 2 non magical blade weapons you have become +1 magical while you wield them. You can only have up to 2 bonded weapons at a time.

Perfect Technique

Starting at 15th level, you score critical hits with blade weapons on rolls of 17-20

Special Strike Improvement

Starting at 18th level, you gain the three additional special strike options below.

BLUDGEONING- If you choose this option, you make a Strength or Dexterity check with advantage against the target's saving throw. If the target fails, it is stunned and knocked prone.

PIERCING- If you choose this option, you can use a bonus action to make a slashing attack at the same target, but the slashing attack can't use a special strike.

SLASHING- If you choose this option, you disarm your opponent. It can't take the attack or cast a spell option until it uses its action to get their weapon again, and the next attack or spell they make has disadvantage.
